Fred Worley Stout

Fred Worley Stout, 87, Butler, passed away Saturday February 12, 2011, in the Johnson City Medical Center.

A native of Johnson County, he was a son of the late Roby & Maude Smith Stout. He was a retired Transportation Supervisor with the Johnson County School System. He was a member and Deacon of the Little Doe Baptist Church, Butler. He served in the United States Navy.

He was a fifty-eight year member of the Roan Creek Masonic Lodge # 679, Member and Past Patron of Butler Chapter #218, Order of Eastern Star. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner. He was a member of Jericho Temple, Kingsport.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Edward Stout.

Fred was an avid UT Vol Football Fan.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Stalcup Stout; A Son & Daughter-in-law: Tony & Carol Stout, Butler; Two Grandsons: Chad Stout and wife, Nikki, and Cody Stout, all of Butler; One Great Grandson: Gavin Stout, Butler; A Sister: Nannie Vaught, Mountain City; Several Nieces & Nephews.

Funeral Services will be conduced at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kreg Smith and Dr. Dwight Hobbs officiating.

Entombment Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers will be Deacons of Little Doe Baptist Church. Honorary Pallbearers will be His Church Family, Friends and Neighbors. A Masonic Memorial Service will be conducted by Roan Creek Masonic Lodge # 679 following the funeral service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of his son & daughter-in-law: Tony & Carol Stout, Butler. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery.
