Helen Marie Lyon Honeycutt, Hampton passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 in the Pine Ridge Care Center where she had been a resident for the past seven years.

A native of Sullivan County, she was a daughter of the late Carl & Ethel Slagle Lyon. She was a graduate of Bluff City High School. She was a former employee of SE Massengill of Bristol. She had lived in Gary, Indiana for 30 years where she had been employed at Color Lab. Mrs. Honeycutt was a member of the Little Mountain Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: Harlan and Carl Lyon.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years Robert Gene Honeycutt. A Sister: Arvell Lyon Gardner and her husband Jack, Bluff City. Several nieces & nephews including a special niece Melissa Gardner, Bluff City.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chris Hughes and Rev. Shane Waters officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Bryan Smith officiating. Active Pallbearers will be; Mike Gardner, Phillip Stanley, John D. Snyder, Joe Street, Larry Caldwell and Johnny Honeycutt.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff of Pine Ridge Care Center, and aids Barbara & Lois, and Caris Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

To those who prefer, Memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Honeycutt to the Youth Center, Little Doe Free Will Baptist Church, Hampton.
