Helen Pansock Whitaker Jones Carter, age 92, Gray, passed away May 31, 2012, at Holston Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was the daughter of Michael and Mary Pansock. She was a native of Flint, Michigan. She lived most of her life in Elizabethton, TN, then moved to Telford, TN.
She attended Notre Dame Catholic Church. Mrs. Jones was a volunteer at North Side Hospital for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Charles Whitaker, Shelby Jones and Edward Carter; one daughter, Linda Patrick, of Newport News, VA; one grandson, Travis Lynn Whitaker, of Gray, TN; three sisters, Sue Rotkis, Anna Borchin, Mary Giesler; two brothers, Michael Pansock and John Pansock.
Mrs. Jones is survived by one son, David Whitaker and wife, Janice, of Gray; one grandson, Christopher Whitaker and wife, Lori; three great-grandchildren, Cody Whitaker, Shalyn Whitaker and Dylan Whitaker; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Helan and Ken Ferguson, of Telford, James and Sally Massey, of Honaker, VA, Mary and Jerry Curtis, of Jonesborough; two sisters-in-law, Myrtle Henry, of Elizabethton, and Juanita Pansock, of Elizabethton; two step children, Wayne Carter, of Atlanta, GA, and Melanie Carter, of Houston, Texas.
Graveside services will be held Sunday afternoon, June 3, 2012, at 1:30 at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Elizabethton, TN.
