Jack Carroll McKinney, 75, Elizabethton, passed away Monday July 9, 2012, at his residence following an extended illness.

A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Earnest and Ethel Shell McKinney. Jack was a 1956 graduate of Cloudland High School. He was a retired Truck Driver after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Hunter United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Frances McLean; and a brother: Jerry McKinney.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years: Flo Pauline Guinn McKinney; A Son: Jack Carroll McKinney II and his wife, Kerri, Commerce, Georgia; A Granddaughter: Stacey McKinney; Brother: Gene McKinney and his wife, Ruby, Roan Mountain; Several nieces & nephews, including a special niece: Marsha Gail Ward; His special sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Lucille Owenby, Erma Stevens and Roy Forbes, Louise & Carmon Whitehead, Rose & Gordon Lewis, Ed & Dean Guinn and L.D. & Ruby Guinn; His special friends: Karen & Ford Julian & Family and Tommy & Mary Ingram; and all his friends of the 1956 graduating class of Cloudland High School.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Manis and Rev. Estill Williams officiating.

Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Michelle Faust. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, will be: Jim Hyder, Jim Boone, Dean Boone, Bill Ward, Stevie Guinn, Jeff Lewis, Michael Whitehead and Bobby Collins. Honorary Pallbearers will be: T.N. Taylor, Roy Wilson, Herman Taylor, Chuck Adkins, Landon Grindstaff, Ronnie Keller, Melvin Irick, Jackie Collins, Terry Whitehead, Randy Guinn and his Church Family.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:50 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery.
