James Andrew “Jim†Davis, 60, Johnson City passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at his residence.
A native of Carter County, he had lived in Johnson City for a number of years. He was a graduate of North East State, Blountville. He was a Purchasing Coordinator-Inventory Specialist with Wilson Pharmacy.
Jim attended Apostolic Christian Church. He loved to garden and loved animals.
Jim was preceded in death by his father: Jack A. Davis, November 5, 1998.
Survivors include a son & daughter-in-law: Mark Anthony & Rachella Davis, Johnson City. Two Grandchildren: Mackenzie Davis and Calli Davis, his mother: Virgie Trivette Davis, Elizabethton. One Sister & Brother-in-Law: Linda Gayle & Ben Collins, Gray. Three Brothers & Sisters-in-Law: Edward & Shirley Davis, Johnson City, Harold “Bill†& Jackie Davis and Jeff & Kim Davis all of Elizabethton. Several Nieces, Nephews, Uncles & Aunts.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in the Apostolic Christian Church (off Cedar Grove Road, Johnson City) with Pastor Edward Davis and Pastor Bill Davis officiating.
Graveside Service and Interment will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday October 11, 2011 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by the church.
Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the church at 6:50 p.m. Monday and also at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday will be his Nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Apostolic Christian Church.
Friends may also call at the residence of his son & daughter-in-law: Mark Anthony & Rachella Davis and also at the residence of his mother Virgie Davis.
Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
