image Janet M. Greene, age 70, 414 East K Street, Elizabethton went home to be with her Lord, Friday, March 4, 2011, at her residence following an extended illness.

A native of Sugar Grove, WVA, she was a daughter of the late Cletis and Charlotte Jane Reynolds Waggy. Mrs. Greene was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved to sing in the choir. She enjoyed quilting and gardening and enjoyed gospel music. She loved her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby R. Greene; and two sons, Stanley Rexrode and Richard Rexrode.

Survivors include three daughters, Judith M. Rexrode, of the home, Wanda Hunter and husband, Larry, Frances Miller and husband, Teddy, all of Elizabethton, two sons, Daniel Rexrode, of the home, and Russell Rexrode, VA; two sisters, Carol Mink and husband, Larry, Doreen Tedder and husband, Dale, all of Mountain City; five brothers, Dan Waggy, Mountain City, Gary Waggy, Frederick MD, David Waggy, Waterford, VA, Norman Waggy, Greensboro, NC, Phil Waggy, Triangle, VA; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Greene will be conducted at 4 PM Monday, March 7, 2011, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Sorah officiating. Music will be under the direction of Sounds of Victory.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Monday from 3 PM until 4 PM prior to the service. Friends may also call at the residence at other times.

The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 1 PM Tuesday, March 8, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Larry Hunter, Larry Mink, Dan Waggy, Scotty Earp, Boyd Pruitt and Jonathan Rexrode. Honorary pallbearers will be Teddy Miller, Chris Carr, Jonathan Mink and Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are ask to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 8, at 12:15 PM to go in procession to the cemetery.
