Jason Brandan Rhea, 36, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at his residence after a brief illness.
He was a Carter County native. Jason was employed as a Construction and Utility Worker. He was a member of Caldwell Springs Baptist Church. He loved music, fishing and spending time with his son.
Survivors include a son: Brandon Ronnie Rhea and the mother of his son, Melanie Rhea, Johnson City; His Father & Step-mother: Steve & Jean Rhea, Hampton; His Mother: Kathy Hoss Rhea and her friend, Jerry Weaver, Elizabethton; A Sister: Stephanie Michelle Rhea, Elizabethton; His Maternal Grandmother: Sarah “Kat” Stout, Elizabethton; Several aunts, uncles & cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. William Duncan officiating.
Graveside Service and Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of Kathy Rhea and Jerry Weaver at 170 Rainbow Circle, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 12:50 p.m. Sunday to go to the cemetery.
