image Jettie Mae Robinson Rash, 66, of Elizabethton, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was a native of Johnson County, but had lived in Carter County for the past 31 years. She was a daughter of the late Luther and Carrie Lee Forrester Payne.

Mrs. Rash was a member of Watauga First Baptist Church. She enjoyed church, her family and cooking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Payne.

Survivors include two daughters, Shelia Robinson and Angie Robinson, both of Elizabethton; two grandchildren, Brandon Wayne Franklin and his fiancée, Jamee Ellis, and Gary William Hughes, all of Elizabethton; a brother, Jimmy Payne and his wife, Helen, and a sister, Lois Baumgardner and her husband, Doug, all of Mountain City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Rash will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, July 16, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Rev. Art Webb and Rev. David McBryar officiating. Music will be under the direction of Gina McBryar. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the residence at other times. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Watauga First Baptist Church, 111 East Third Street, Watauga, TN 37694.
