Jimmy F. Edmison, 63, 1947 King Springs Road, Johnson City, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of the late William Coy and Bonnie May Lathery Edmison. Mr. Edmison retired from Eastman Chemical Company in 2001 after 32 years of service and had worked for Johnson City Honda for the past 10 years. He was an avid Nascar and motorcycle racing fan. Mr. Edmison was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jason Edmison, of the home; his special loving companion, Sue Johnson, of the home; and several aunts, uncles and cousins; Special friends, Dallas White, Mack Henry, Ken Hayes and Jim Hayes also survive.
Funeral service for Mr. Jimmy F. Edmison will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 6, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Reece Harris officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service or at the residence at other times.
