John D. Frye Jr., 87, of Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012, at his home.
He was the son of the late John D. and Ruby Smith Frye. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Livingston Frye, and a sister, Margaret White.
Mr. Frye is survived by his daughter, Lydia Wilson of Chilhowie, Va.; grandchildren, Ashley Wilson and James Wilson III; sister, Frances Brookshire and her husband, Gordon; great-grandson, Garrett Hale; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Richard Livingston and his wife, Mary Lou.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to his caregivers, Don and Betty Anderson and Betty Taylor.
The committal service and entombment for Mr. Frye will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 5, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Jeremy Rhoton officiating.
