image John William “Bill” Sellers, Jr. 84, Elizabethton passed away Friday December 16, 2011 in the Vanderbilt University Hospital, Nashville . A native of Carter County he was a son of the late John William Sellers, Sr. and Flossie Mae Hardin Sellers. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a retired Welder and farmer. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a member of Dashiell Masonic Lodge # 238. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Mozzelle Sellers, August 16, 1986.

Survivors include a daughter: Kathy Sellers Carter, Bristol, Virginia. Two Sons: Steve & Charles Sellers both of Elizabethton. Three Grandchildren: Paul William Jones, Pamela Lee Jones and Jonathan Sellers. Two Great Grandchildren: Sydni Proo and Adrian Proo. A Brother: Paul Sellers, Elizabethton. Several nieces & nephews. A special friend: Sue Hardin.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jack Lyons and Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 12 Noon Wednesday in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday will be Howell Carrico, Todd Stines, Robert Stines, Paul Jones, Jonathan Sellers, David Sellers, Dillon Sellers and Gary Harrison. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tommy Edwards, Dick VanHuss, Max VanHuss, Lindsay Rash, Paul Campbell, Roy Livingston, Ed Hardin, Paul Shook, Richard Collins, Jim Keller, Jordan Yelton and Joel Burkey. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion & Tennessee National Guard. Dashiell Masonic Lodge # 238 will conduct a Memorial Service following the funeral service Tuesday night. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at his residence.
