Kenneth Loyd Deloach, 82, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013, in the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Charles and Bonnie Odom Deloach. He was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended George Washington University. He retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service. Following his retirement he was employed for 14 years as a Perquiman agent for the General Services Administration, US Government. Kenneth and Pat had lived in Woodbridge, Virginia, for 17 years before returning to Elizabethton. He was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church, where he had formerly served as a deacon, Sunday School Teacher and served in other capacities of the church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife of 61 years: Patricia Nave Deloach; One Daughter & Son-In-Law: Mary Jane & Morgan French, Houston, Texas; One Son & Daughter-In-Law: Kenneth Allen and Donna Deloach, Suffolk, Virginia; Two Grandchildren: Edward Clifton French and Meredith Holly French, both of Baton Rouge, La.; His special “Little Friend,” Madeline.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Hendrich officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be private in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Bill & Rita Fancher. Active Pallbearers will be: Tim Lyons, Hasferd Slemp, Tom Milhorn, Thomas Isaacs, Richard Fair, Benny Medearis, Jerry Stout and Jay Harms. Honorary pallbearers will be: His Church Family. To those who prefer, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Deloach to the “We Love Our Church,” Oak Street Baptist Church, 804 Oak Street, Elizabethton, Tenn. 37643.
