Mr. Lawrence M. Range, 84, of Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Pine Ridge Health Care in Elizabethton.
Mr. Range was a native of Carter County and was the son of the late Samuel Auther and Anna Mae Morris Range.
Mr. Range was the owner and operator of Range Auctions and Real Estate Company, which he thoroughly loved and enjoyed. He was a Sgt. First Class in the U.S. Army and he attended First Christian Church in Elizabethton.
Survivors include his wife, Margie Courtney Range, Elizabethton; one sister in law, Aileen Early, Morristown; one brother in law, M.R. Courtney and wife, Carol, Whitesburg; six nieces and nephews; one great niece and one great nephew; special adopted grandchildren, Bonnie Buckles, Elizabethton, Jenny Taylor, Johnson City; special friend, Mac Merritt, Elizabethton.
The celebration of life service for Mr. Range will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, October 5, 2012, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Brent Nidiffer officiating. Music will be the direction of Darlene Taylor.
The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 12:30 PM-2:00 PM prior to the service.
The graveside service and interment for Mr. Range will be conducted following the service on Friday, October 5, 2012, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Steve Dunlap, Mac Merritt, Carl Taylor and Travis Hurley. Military honors will be accorded by the American Legion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Lawrence Range.
