Mrs. Billie Hawkins, age 99, of Johnson City, passed Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at her residence.
Mrs. Hawkins was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late William Barnes and Clara Daniels Barnes.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Hawkins; son, Charles C. Hawkins Jr.; three sisters, Lula Swift, Mary Rowe and Ruby Brown; two brothers, J.W. Barnes and Paul Barnes.
Survivors include: one daughter, Sue Hord and husband, Tom, daughter-in-law, Mary Hawkins; three grandchildren, Charles Hawkins III, Tracey Hord and Teri Garmon; seven great grandchildren, Kimberly Hawkins, Brett Hawkins, Ryan Bolton, Travis Bolton, Rachael Bolton, Lindsey Garmon and Niki Garmon; one brother, George Barnes and wife, Lola; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mrs. Billie Hawkins will be conducted at 12:30 PM Saturday, September 17, 2011, in the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pastor Lon Tobin will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11:15 AM to 12 PM Saturday at Morris-Baker prior to the service.
