Lloyd William “Buddy” Watson Jr., 59, Elizabethton, passed away Friday April 29, 2011, in the Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital, Kingsport, after an extended illness.

A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Lloyd William Watson Sr. and Mary Rains Watson. He was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and East Tennessee State University. Buddy was retired due to disability from the City of Elizabethton. He was a Treatment Operator with the Waste Water Treatment Plant.

He loved to draw, watch cartoons and loved to travel.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Williams.

Survivors include a sister & brother-in-law: Brenda & R.J. Wilson, Elizabethton; Three Nieces: Debbie Williams, Jeri-Kay Williams and Missy Bare and her husband, Gary all of Elizabethton; Two Nephews: Randy & Michael Wilson; Several great & great great nieces & nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Street and Rev. James Hawk officiating.

Graveside Service and Interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Rev. Mark Street. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a sister and brother-in-law: Brenda & R.J. Wilson, 828 Mulberry Street, Elizabethton.

To those who prefer, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Watson to the American Lung Association in Tennessee, One Vantage Way, Ste. D-220, Nashville, TN 37228.

Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery.
