Louise Stover Trammell, 85, of Elizabethton, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013, at her home. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Taylor Stover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Sherman Stover, Billy W. Stover and Robert James (RJ) Stover; and two sisters, Reba A. Stover Watson and Fannie G. Stover. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband of 65 years, William M. Trammell Sr.; three daughters, Mary Sue Huff, Elizabethton, Maxine Turner, Chattanooga, TN, and Gwendolyn Elaine Wash (James), Elizabethton; Two sons, William M. Trammell Jr. (Cecilia) Kingsport, TN, and Edward Keith Trammell (Sharrah), Durham, NC; Eight grandchildren, Tunikia Byrd, Kirsten Turner, Jamelia Jones, Kendall and Kyle Wash, Aminah, Solana and Gabriela Trammell; Six great grandchildren, Lamont Johnson, Taylor Sheffey, Olivia Dean, Josiah Byrd, Jataèla and Jaxton Jones; One great-great grandson, Colton Sheffey; Two brothers, George Franklin Stover (Faye), Elizabethton, and Charles Ronny Stover (Patricia), Kingsport, TN; and one sister, Evelyn E. Hagler (Kenneth), Mountain City, TN. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends also survive. Louise was a 1948 graduate of Langston High School, Johnson City, TN. She was a member of Phillippi Baptist Church, Elizabethton, and a retired employee of the Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency after 31 years of service. Louise was a loving wife to William and mother to not only their children, but to all who entered her home. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. and Mrs. Robert Shubert and staff, primary physician, Dr. Jeffrey Wallace and Dr. Allison Prinz, and Dr. Clifford Wiegand. Going home services for Louise Trammell will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 16th, 2013, at Tetrick Funeral Home in Elizabethton with Rev. Ernest Widby, Rev. Jeannette Clark and Rev. Joseph Hollifield, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Saturday; or at the residence at any time. The committal and entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
