Mrs. Lucy Crumley Hill, 91, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Gus W. and Mae M. Hampton Crumley. Mrs. Hill had worked in the Accounting Department of the Dupont Company in Wilmington, Del. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Elizabethton. She was also a member of the Elizabethton FCE Club, Friends of the Library, the Christian Woman’s Club and the Elizabethton Woman’s Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hill, in 1988; a daughter, Sonja Jean Hill; two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include four grandchildren, Joseph Paul Pouser, Elizabethton, Tenn., Aubrey Wayne Pouser, Wilmington, Del., Connie Lee Pouser Mendez, Elkton, Md., and Sonja Elizabeth Huff Guinn, Elizabethton, Tenn.; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a nephew, Mike Crumley; and several nieces. The graveside service for Mrs. Hill will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Travis Biller officiating. Music will be under the direction of Jerry Barnett. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday, prior to the graveside service.
