Margaret Ann Campbell, 63, 2451 Elizabethton Highway, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness.

A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Noble R. and Kate Hyder White.

Margaret was a 1967 graduate of University High and received a degree in Psychiatric Nursing at East Tennessee State University. She was employed by Mountain States Health Alliance at Johnson City Medical Center for 15 years and 13 years at Woodridge Hospital. She was a member of Watauga Point United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Allen Campbell, March 23, 2008; her step-mother, Jessie Wilson White, October 13, 2004; and her mother-in-law, Dorothy Jean Campbell, June 1, 2011.

Survivors include a son, Jonathan Campbell and his fiancée, Samara Wilcox, of the home; a grandson, Jesse Warren Campbell; her father-in-law, John R. Campbell, Powder Springs, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Randy Campbell and wife Susan, Powder Springs, Ga.; two nephews, Ian Campbell and wife Anne and Garrett Campbell; a godson, Shannon Long; and a very very special friend, Angela Little.

Funeral services for Mrs. Campbell will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Nathan Jennings officiating. Music will be provided by Ian Campbell and Carolyn Pleasant. Entombment services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 15, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Rodney Bailey officiating. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, will be Jonathan Campbell, Randy Campbell, Ian Campbell, Garrett Campbell, J.D. Livingston II, Shannon Long, Levi Lane and James Smithdeal. Honorary pallbearers will be Mountain States Employees. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also visit at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery.
