image Mary Kate Harris Moody, 95, Elizabethton passed away Saturday February 11, 2012 in the Johnson City Medical Center.

A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late W.O. & Bertie Sims Harris.

She was a retired waitress having worked at the Southern Restaurant for over 18 years. Mary was a member of the First Christian Church of Elizabethton. She loved to sew and quilt.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband John Blevins, her second husband Doris Moody, a son: Charles Blevins. Her Step-Father: Frank Glover, One Sister: Lillian Carden and four brothers: Cecil Harris, Edgar Harris, Jim Glover and Charles Glover.

Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law: Martha & Jerry Kelly, Jonesborough. A son: Allen and Wife Jenny, Alexandria, Virginia. Three Grandsons: Jeff Blevins and wife Diane, Burke, Virginia, John Blevins and wife Kathy, Alexandria, Virginia and John Monica and wife Melissa, Mandeville, La. Eight Great Grandchildren: Chelsea, Kassadi & Handsome Monica, Jeffrey Allen II, Daniel and Elizabth Ashley Blevins, Charlie & Jack Blevins. Two Sisters: Agnes Blackburn and husband Stewart “Haney,” Elizabethton and Edna Cole of North Carolina. Two very, very special People: Carroll Glover, Nephew and Pricilla Richardson, Niece. A special friend: Gilmer Greene.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Tim Barnett officiating.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff of Hillview Nursing Home, The Nursing Staff at Johnson City Medical Center, especially Ann Marie & Rob and the Staff of Medical Center Hospice, Pam & Adam for all their support and help.

In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the Medical Center Hospital, Johnson City.

Family and friends will assemble at the graveside at 10:55 a.m. Saturday.
