Mary Nell Lynch Carroll Street, 93, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012, in the Pine Ridge Care Center, Elizabethton, following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Callie Miller Sams. She had worked at the American Bemberg Corporation for 32 years and retired from Texas Instruments. She attended the Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raleigh Lynch; her 2nd husband, Johnnie Carroll; and her 3rd husband, Earl Street; two brothers: J.L. Sams and Floyd Sams; and two sisters: Dorothy Sams and Georgia Blevins.
Survivors include One Son: Donald H. Lynch, Pine Ridge Care Center, Elizabethton; One Sister: Helen Sams, Pine Ridge Care Center, Elizabethton; Two Brothers: Gerald W. Sams and wife, Betty, Candler, North Carolina, and Rev. Bob Sams and wife, Sylvia, Knoxville; Three Grandchildren: Jeannie Day, Donnie & David Lynch; Three Great Grandchildren: Megan & Dylan Day and Matilda Lynch.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Sams officiating.
Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Sylvia Sams. Active Pallbearers will be: Dennis W. Sams, Keith Blevins, Mike Melton, Donnie Lynch, David Lynch, Dan Day, Tim Sams and Steve Melton. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Buddy Blevins, Gary Blevins and Terry Blevins.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
