Ola Holsclaw Campbell, age 90, formerly of Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at the Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.

A native of Marion, VA, she was a daughter of the late James Fredrick and Susan Harmon Holsclaw. Mrs. Campbell loved to travel, and had the pleasure of living in many different areas of the country. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading and dancing, as well as listening to all types of music. Ola was a member of East Side Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by a son, Chester Allen Taylor; a sister, Pauline Yates Shell; and two brothers, Charlie and Claude Holsclaw.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Almes and husband, Dick, Murrysville, PA, and Diana White and husband, Allen, Pike Road, AL; a step-daughter, Huldie Scott, Jacksonville, FL; a daughter-in-law, Maureen Weller and her husband, Jim, Fort Worth, TX; five sisters, Martha Forbes and husband, Robert, Johnson City, Maxine Gagliano, Juanita Pansock, Barbara Milsaps and Betty Maupin and husband, Jim, all of Elizabethton; and three brothers, Arthur Holsclaw, Willie Holsclaw and wife, Leota, and Johnny Holsclaw and wife, Donna, all of Elizabethton. Eight Grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Ola Holsclaw Campbell will be conducted at 11:30 AM Saturday, September 10, 2011, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Mr. John Smith and Mr. Randle Johnson, Ministers, officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service.

The graveside service will follow immediately on Saturday in the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from members of her family.
