Paula M. Wiseman, 61, Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 1, 2013, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. She was a Carter County native. Paula was a 1970 graduate of Elizabethton High School and attended East Tennessee State University. She was a Lab Technician and was employed in the Lab at Carter County Memorial Hospital and Sycamore Shoals Hospital for a number of years. Paula was a member of the Fairview Free Will Baptist Church, Hampton. She was preceded in death by her father: Thomas J. Moore, January 9, 1972. Survivors include her husband of 42 years Jimmie Wiseman; Her mother: Eliza Griffith Moore, Elizabethton; several cousins and her special friends: Conley & Pat Miller, Joe Gray, R.L. Poole, members of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church and the Lab Staff at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2013, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Gary Whitehead officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013, in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, will be: Larry Tolley, Tyler Wiseman, Larry McKinney, Earl Birchfield, Leland Dauksch, Ed Williams, R.L. Poole, Joseph Currington and William Hambrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Lab employees of Sycamore Shoals Hospital and her church family. The family would like to thank everyone for the kind words, thoughts and prayers, food and flowers during this difficult time. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel. Friends may also call at her residence.
