Pauline Laws Ellis, 93, Elizabethton went home to be with her Lord Saturday, December 31, 2011 in the Hillview Health Center.

A native of Red Hill, North Carolina she was a daughter of the late L. Caney and Savannah Bailey Laws. She had lived most of her life in Carter County.

Mrs. Ellis was a faithful member of Valley Forge Christian Church. She was a retired Seamstress from Levi Strass. She loved to cook, sew, make Christmas cookies and candy for her grandchildren and go to church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Ellis, her sons: Donald Milburn Ellis and Terry Caney Ellis, her brothers: Clyde Laws, L.C. Laws, Bob Laws and her sister: Ruth McCoury.

Survivors include her daughters: Dianna McInturff and Barbara Horton and her husband Willard all of Unicoi. Her Daughter-In-Law: Francis Ellis, Elizabethton. Her Grandchildren; Teresa Horton, David Ellis, Tim McInturff, Michelle Ward, Renee Lingerfelt, Jennifer Hughes, Jane Ellis, Danielle Ellis, Caney Ellis and Sherry Ellis Caldwell. 23 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren. A brother: Jeff Laws and his wife Nancy, Winston-Salem, NC., Her Sisters: Kathleen McIntosh, Unicoi and Mary Jane Linville, Tampa, Florida. Several Nieces & Nephews. A special friend: Delores Lunsford.

A Service to Celebrate the Life of Pauline Ellis will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. David Siebenaler, Minister officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park.

Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons: David Ellis, Tim McInturff and Caney Ellis, Great Grandsons: Joshua Ellis, Dylan Ellis, Andrew Lingerfelt, Daniel McInturff, Nathanael Hughes, Milburn Hughes and Matthew Hughes.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Willard Horton, Anthony Lingerfelt, Kale Ward, Robert Hughes, Dusty Tolley, Wimpy Hampton, Joel Crisp, her church family and her neighbors.

The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff and employees of Hillview Health Center for the excellent care she received during her stay there.
