image Pauline V. Nave, 92, a resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday morning, June 2, 2012, in a Rhea county health care facility.

Pauline was born on November 3, 1919, in Stonega, VA. A daughter of the late Charles W. and Cora Buckles Vandeventer. Pauline spent most of her life in the Elizabethton. Tenn. area until relocating to Cleveland in 2004 to be near her children.

Pauline was a charter member of the Elizabethton First Church of the Nazarene. She worked as a PBX operator for the Inter-Mountain Telephone Co., TVA, and was retired from the Johnson City Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Nave; one son Rev. Justin R. Nave in October, 2011; one sister Velma Glover; one brother, Philetus Vandeventer; one nephew, Allen Vandeventer; and her little dog “Frisky”.

Pauline leaves behind to cherish her memory one daughter and son-in-law, Shelia & Dennis Wyatt of Cleveland, TN; one daughter-in-law. Barbara Nave of Cleveland; one brother, Clifford Vandeventer of Elizabethton; one niece, Shelby Taylor of Clarksville; two nephews, Carmon & Douglas Vandeventer of Elizabethton; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous other extended family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at the Happy Valley Memorial Park in Elizabethton on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. EST with the Rev. Brian Nave, Rev. Kinley Knight, and the Rev. Keith Robinson officiating.

The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made either to the Elizabethton First Church of the Nazarene at 200 West I Street, Elizabethon, TN 37644 or to the Elizabethton Animal Shelter c/o City Hall, 137 Sycamore Street, Elizabethton, TN 37644.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to David Zopfi and the staff at the Rhea-tirement Prop., Inc. for their excellent care and compassion.
