image Pink Edward McKinney, 77, Elizabethton passed away Wednesday November 10, 2010, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.

A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Ollie Gilson and Elvina Hall McKinney. He was a 1951 graduate of Hampton High School. He retired as a self employed Sheet Metal Worker.

Pink was a member of the Valley Forge Christian Church and the Basic Sunday School Class. His hobbies were fishing and watching sports on Television.

He was preceded in death by a niece, Kim.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Ruth Willoughby McKinney; A Son & Daughter-In-Law: Steve “Pink” & Robin McKinney, Elizabethton; Three Grandchildren: Stephanie McKinney, Katie McKinney and Tim McKinney; A Step-Grandson: Scott Burleson; A Sister & Brother-In-Law: Phyllis & Richard Oliver, Elizabethton; Four Brothers & Sisters-In-Law: Roy & Brenda McKinney, Arvel & Dolores “Floss” McKinney, Larry & Judy McKinney and Terry & Sue McKinney, all of Elizabethton; His sister-in-law & brother-in-law: Glenda & Larry Melton, of North Carolina; His nieces & nephews: Jamie, Jenny, Teresa, Tim, Tina, Janet, Missy, Melanie, Jeff, Wendy, Chad, Joe, David, Tina & Lisa; Several Great Nieces, Nephews & Cousins.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. David Siebenaler and Mr. Clay Bailey, Ministers, officiating.

Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Joel Crisp and Gail Campbell.

Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Saturday will be: Garry Smith, James Ramsey, James Weir, Leo Meredith, Brady Williams, Ricky Moore and Jerry Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Scott Burleson, Michael Burleson, David Harold, Farrell Hutchins, Mike Hooks, David Hooks, Jerry Jenkins, members of the Basic Sunday School Class at Valley Forge Christian Church, and the football coaching staff of Unaka High School.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence.

Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery.
