Ruth Rogers Glover, 81, Elizabethton passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 in the Ivy Hall Nursing Home following an extended illness. A native of Washington County, she was a daughter of the late Harry D. and Mary Elizabeth Hodge Rogers. She had lived most of her life in Carter County. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Glover was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son: Jerry Conley Glover, four sisters: Lena Cleo Rogers, Hester Heatherly, Ruby Hampton and Georgia Campbell and a brother: Joe Rogers. Survivors include her husband of 62 years: Conley Glover. Two Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Debbie & Tim Rasnick, Elizabethton and Connie & Rick McMullins, Blountville. A son & Daughter-in-Law: Keith & Melissa Glover, Piney Flats. Two Grandsons: Tyler McMullins and Joshua Rasnick. Five Sisters: Hazel Nave, Rebecca Buckles, Eula Lee Pierce and Wanda Townsend all of Elizabethton and Sarah Heighway, Noblesville, Indiana. Several Nieces & Nephews. Two Special Sisters-In-Law: Joyce Rogers and Gertrude Canter.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Tyler McMullins, Dr. Kenneth Jordan, Rev. Sherrel Nave and Rev. Eric Eggers officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Music will be provided by Patti Hodge and Billy Wayne and Tattered Saints. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, will be: Daniel Holder, Steve Buckles, Jeff Pierce, Greg Pierce, Mike Ensor, Nick Holder, Mark Rogers and Doug Rasnick. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Dr. Harold Alison, Cecil Eggers, Ron Weathers, her nieces & nephews and the Staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at her residence.
