Thelma Jones Bolinger, age 101, of Johnson City, passed away on June 24, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Summers Bolinger; parents, Clyde & Maude Matney Jones; brothers, Clyde Jr. and Ray Jones; sister, Mable Trevathan; and grandson, Jim Bolinger. She is survived by her son James Robert “Bob” Bolinger and wife Judy; grandchildren Michael Bolinger and Mollie Bolinger Zigelnik; great-grandchildren Jacob and Colsen Zigelnik; and dear nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friends in the Circle of Hope and the precious family of Joe and Pat Faber. Services will be on Sunday , June 30th at First United Methodist Church of Johnson City with Reverend Jane Taylor and Reverend Betty Furchess officiating. A visitation will be held at 3 pm with the Celebration of Life to begin at 4 pm. An interment will follow at the Happy Valley Cemetery in Elizabethton, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Johnson City or Sunshine Industries, 3000 N Central St., Knoxville, TN 37917.
