TEAGUE, THELMA HOLSCLAW – age 83, of Knoxville, died on Saturday, June 01, 2013. She was a native of Carter County, Tennessee. Thelma was the daughter of the late Ernest and Stella Grindstaff Holsclaw. She attended Elizabethton City Schools until moving to the country. She then attended Happy Valley High School and won awards for best penmanship and sang in the Glee Club. Thelma started working at Inter-Mountain Telephone Co. at 161/2 years old. She spent many years working for AT&T Knoxville and in Alabama. Thelma was married (June 19, 1947) to William Dane Teague for 56 years. She was a longtime member of the “Red Hat Society”. Thelma was a faithful member of the C Street Church of Christ in Elizabethton and the Karns Church of Christ in Knoxville. She was a faithful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Thelma was preceded in death by her loving husband; son, William Ernest Teague; daughter, Sharon Annette Williams. She is survived by her son, Gary Teague and wife, Rebecca; grandchildren, Heatherly Stiles (Jeremy), Deborah Ann Ard (Michael), Amanda Teague (Amiram), Michael Teague (Bashty); great grandchildren, Brittany, Katie, Avery; sister, Ann Deakins (Jerry); brother, Jerry Holsclaw (Jenny); numerous special friends. Funeral Service 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. Family and friends will then meet on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Happy Valley Memorial Park, in Elizabethton, Tennessee, for the interment service.
