William Freddy Dillard

William Fred “Freddy” Dillard, 48, Hampton, passed away Saturday April 8, 2011, in the Hermitage Health Center.

A native of Dillard, Georgia, he was a son of the late Buck and Billie Lee Steele Dillard. He had lived most of his life in Carter County. Freddy was a 1981 graduate of Hampton High School. He was a Welder.

He was a member of the Hampton Masonic Lodge #750 and was an avid hunter.

Survivors include a sister: Doris LeJeune, Elizabethton; Three Nephews and several cousins in Georgia; His special friends: Tammie Collins Dugger, Cheyenne Dugger, Alan Ensor, Todd McKinney, Robert Cox and his dog “Little ittie.”

Graveside Service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Dean Smith officiating. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday, will be Robert Cox, Todd McKinney, Vaughn Simerly, John Paul Mathes, Red Dugger, Kelly Honeycutt and Nick Simerly. Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Staff of the Johnson City Medical Center 3rd floor, Dr. Daniel Merrick & Staff, Dr. Slonaker & Staff, the Staff of Hermitage Health Center, Lewis Markam, Brian Rice and Greg “Mater” Wagener and all of his shooting buddies.

Friends may call at the funeral home 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
