Younger Miles Wright, 57, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at his residence. He was a native of Carter County and the son of the late John W. Wright and Lois Ramey Wright of Elizabethton. Mr. Wright was the former co-owner of P & W Pipe and Muffler and the owner and operator of Serenity’s Edge Campground. He was an avid business entrepreneur. Mr. Wright was a member of Pinecrest Christian Church and attended Range Community Christian Church. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed drag races, building, and was a supporter of Unaka High School. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a daughter, Chelsey Wright, of the home; a son, Wesley Wright and his wife, Nikki, Elizabethton; one sister, Karen Wright, Elizabethton; one brother, Philip Wright and his friend, Rhonda Reeves, Johnson City; two grandchildren, Julian Wright and Braxton Wright, both of Elizabethton; one nephew, Travis Hughes, Elizabethton; several cousins; an aunt, Jackie Pannell, Elizabethton; an uncle, Albert Humphrey, Elizabethton; and the mother of his children, Ellen Taylor, Elizabethton. The funeral service for Mr. Wright will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2013, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. Randle Johnson, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel prior to the service. The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Philip Wright, Dennis McKesson, Charlie Murray, Bruce Pierce, Ralph Miller, and Karl Grindstaff. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth West, Charlie Hughes, Chuck McCracken, Bob Constantine, and campers at the Serenity’s Edge Campground. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, may make donations to the Family Crisis Center of their choice.
